Like peanut butter and jelly, or Batman and Robin, some things just go together. And now you can add to that list…college basketball and fire sprinkler training. No, really.
General Air’s own Ray Fremont Jr. kicked off the even with a presentation on the Vapor Pipe Shield and using Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitor technology to simplify corrosion protection in dry and pre-action fire sprinkler systems as well as our Advance Series line of fire protection air compressors, which feature a UL 508 Listed Digital Pressure Switch.
Viking’s Darren Palmieri gave a comprehensive presentation on antifreeze, including a review of requirement for antifreeze systems per NFPA 13/13R/13D, while Lubrizol Marketing Manager Lainey Liotta represented both BlazeMaster and freezemaster as she went through Lubrizol’s FBC ™ System Compatible Program.
Later, AGF Manufacturing’s Jim McHugh discussed the best practices to extend the life of your fire sprinkler systems, and Ferguson Fire & Fab Product Specialist Matt McTamney gave everyone the rundown on Ferguson’s product line. Brandon Telford from Reliable discussed three of the company’s new products, including the K28 ESFR, the new P frame for K22 and K25 ESFRs, and the LB11.
Sprinkler Madness, however, isn’t just about spreading the good word of what’s happening in the fire sprinkler industry — there’s also ample time to relax with some good eats, fun and games (Pop-A-Shot, anyone?) and lots of time to check in on the tournament (and our brackets). Life, and Sprinkler Madness, is all about balance after all.
None of this event — the training sessions nor the fun afterwards — would’ve been possible without the Sprinkler Madness 2024 roster of sponsors. A big thanks goes out to the best teammates over at AGF Manufacturing, ASC Engineered Solutions, BlazeMaster, Core & Main, Ferguson Fire & Fabrication, Reliable Automatic Sprinkler Co., SPP Pumps, Tornatech, Victaulic, Viking Group, and Zurn.
We’ll see you next March for round three.
