This March we kicked off our Fire Protection Roadshow grand tour in beautiful Atlanta, Georgia. The tour is a series of NICET accredited training talks and demonstrations visiting locations across the US and Canada. In Atlanta we had the pleasure of talking to professionals from 14 different companies about different fire protection tech.
Our Atlanta stop was headed up by General Air Products President Ray Fremont Jr. who opened the day with a talk on air supply choices. He covered various air filling options, including compressed air, dry air, nitrogen and vapor corrosion inhibitors, discussing their respective benefits and drawbacks.
After lunch, the focus shifted to corrosion prevention methods, namely the Vapor Pipe Shield System for fire protection systems. There was also a discussion on how General Air’s new Advance Series Compressors with a patented Digital Pressure Switch can work to prevent corrosion and make maintenance easier.
